Hi My name is Amy! I'm a Florida transplant who started as a member at our flagship location in St. Petersburg, FL. I Moved to Sunbury, OH in March of 2018 to become the General Manager of Burg.

I was afforded the opportunity to buy the gym in October of 2022. I am so grateful to be able to create a community here in Sunbury. I am passionate about health and fitness especially for Parents/middle age adults who are searching for help.

Brett Shearer

Brett has been involved in functional fitness since his teenage years, back then throwing hay bales on the dairy farm and as an athlete.

His passion for fitness was reignited after he found himself with unwanted weight and aches after working a desk job. He has trained for and competed in bodybuilding competitions then transitioned into lifestyle fitness after he started to grow his family. He was introduced to Crossfit in 2014 and enjoys the pursuit of getting better everyday. Brett retired in December of 2022 from a 34 year career with ODOT to pursue his passion of coaching. He loves helping people find and build the confidence in themselves to do things they previously thought impossible. He resides in Sunbury with his wife, Holly, and their 3 boys.

Rachael Wittman coach at Burg CrossFit Sunbury

Rachael joined Burg in 2019 and found the motivation, and community she needed to change her life.

After becoming the Client Success Manager for the Sunbury location, she wanted to be even more involved with the members, and she decided to pursue coaching. Rachael loves having the opportunity to encourage and inspire others through CrossFit.

Josh has been a part of the CrossFit community since 2012. He began coaching in 2014 and joined Burg CrossFit in 2023.

With 3 kids his goals are to use CrossFit to stay healthy and keep up with the family as long as possible. No matter your fitness goal, Josh will help you get the most out of classes!

Tim has been around fitness since he started playing football and baseball as a freshmen in high school. Even after high school he always enjoyed working out, but did it at various gyms following various training programs.

His functional fitness focus training started in 2015 when he started doing CrossFit. Tim was introduced to CrossFit by a friend that encouraged and pushed him towards CrossFit by explaining how close movements are/prepare him for his job as a firefighter. After years and years of putting it off Tim finally went in early 2022 and got his L1 certification. Tim has been a firefighter for 9 years and a full time firefighter for 5 years. Tim loves to see athletes evolve and become a better version of themselves everyday. He currently lives in Delaware with his wife, Caiti, and their two boys Liam and Tucker.

Hello! My name is Annie and I am your Nutrition Coach at Burg Crossfit Sunbury! I have 2 daughters and a husband. My girls are 10 and 13 years old. My German Shepherd, Murphy is 6 years old, named after Michael P. Murphy, Navy Seal.

I’ve been doing CrossFit for 10 years – I started with a Groupon when I was 8 weeks, post-partum with my 2nd daughter. I planned on only doing CrossFit to lose my baby weight. As a former athlete, I fell in love with the sport and never plan on stopping. I meet each client where they are and work with them first to create good habits to help them reach their goals. I want to understand how they spend their day, how much they move their body, what their stress levels are, and how they sleep. I am not a nutrition coach who will just hand out calorie goals. I want to help create healthy habits that will not only improve their nutrition but their life as a whole.
